Instead, it will offer a base amount of storage for a fixed fee and a charge for additional storage. An initiative is underway to support the university&#8217;s transformation to a new Google service.&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a7a9733 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"a7a9733\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8fc45c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8fc45c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"markdown markdown-main-panel ui-v2-enabled\" dir=\"ltr\"><p data-sourcepos=\"1:1-1:130\">You can change your email notifications on both desktop and mobile versions of Gmail. Here&#8217;s a breakdown of how to do it for each:<\/p><p data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:15\"><strong>On Desktop:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"5:1-8:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:38\"><strong>Open Gmail<\/strong> on your web browser.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"6:1-6:120\">Click on the <strong>Settings gear icon<\/strong> in the top right corner and select <strong>&#8220;See all settings&#8221;<\/strong> from the dropdown menu.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-8:0\">Click on the <strong>&#8220;Notifications&#8221;<\/strong> tab.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:68\"><strong>Here you can configure your email notifications in several ways:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"11:1-15:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:185\"><strong>Email Notifications:<\/strong> Choose between <strong>&#8220;On&#8221;<\/strong> (for all new emails), <strong>&#8220;High priority only&#8221;<\/strong> (for important emails marked as priority), or <strong>&#8220;Off&#8221;<\/strong> (to disable all notifications).<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:67\"><strong>Sounds:<\/strong> Enable or disable notification sounds for new emails.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:124\"><strong>Desktop notifications:<\/strong> Choose to receive pop-up notifications for new emails on your desktop or disable them entirely.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"14:1-15:0\"><strong>For specific labels:<\/strong> If you use labels to organize your emails, you can set custom notification settings for emails with specific labels. Click on &#8220;<strong>Add a label<\/strong>&#8221; and choose the label you want to customize notifications for. Then, select your preferred notification settings (sound, pop-up, etc.) for emails with that label.<\/li><\/ul><p data-sourcepos=\"16:1-16:15\"><strong>On Android:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"18:1-23:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"18:1-18:58\"><strong>Open the Gmail app<\/strong> on your Android phone or tablet.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"19:1-19:73\"><strong>Tap the menu icon<\/strong> (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"20:1-20:47\"><strong>Select &#8220;Settings&#8221;<\/strong> from the menu options.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"21:1-21:83\"><strong>Choose the email account<\/strong> you want to modify (if you have multiple accounts).<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"22:1-23:0\">Tap on <strong>&#8220;Notifications&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"24:1-24:72\"><strong>Here you can manage your email notifications for the chosen account:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"26:1-30:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"26:1-26:110\"><strong>Inbox notifications:<\/strong> Toggle <strong>on<\/strong> or <strong>off<\/strong> to receive notifications for all new emails in your inbox.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"27:1-27:66\"><strong>Sound:<\/strong> Enable or disable notification sounds for new emails.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"28:1-28:75\"><strong>Vibrate:<\/strong> Choose whether your phone vibrates when a new email arrives.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"29:1-30:0\"><strong>Label notifications:<\/strong> Similar to the desktop version, you can set custom notification settings for emails with specific labels. Tap on &#8220;<strong>Manage labels<\/strong>&#8221; and choose the label you want to customize. Then, select your preferred notification settings (sound, vibration, etc.) for emails with that label.<\/li><\/ul><p data-sourcepos=\"31:1-31:21\"><strong>Additional Notes:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"33:1-35:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"33:1-33:281\">You can also access notification settings for individual emails. Open the email and tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner. Select &#8220;Settings&#8221; and choose your preferred notification behavior for that specific email (e.g., silence notifications for this conversation).<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"34:1-35:0\">Notification options might vary slightly depending on your specific Gmail version and device settings.<\/li><\/ul><p data-sourcepos=\"36:1-36:260\">By customizing your email notifications, you can control the flow of information and avoid notification overload.
