In February 2021, Google announced<\/a> it would be phasing out the unlimited and free storage allocation previously available to schools and universities that use Google Drive. Instead, it will offer a base amount of storage for a fixed fee and a charge for additional storage. An initiative is underway to support the university’s transformation to a new Google service. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

You can edit or delete contacts directly within your Gmail interface. Here’s a guide for both desktop and Android devices:<\/p>

On Desktop:<\/strong><\/p>

Edit a Contact:<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Go to https:\/\/contacts.google.com\/<\/a>.<\/li>
  2. Point to a contact’s name<\/strong>. A menu with icons will appear on the right side.<\/li>
  3. Click the pencil icon<\/strong> to edit the contact information.<\/li>
  4. Edit the details like name, phone number, email address, or add additional information.<\/li>
  5. Click Save<\/strong> when finished.<\/li><\/ol>

    Delete a Contact:<\/strong><\/p>

    1. Go to https:\/\/contacts.google.com\/<\/a>.<\/li>
    2. Select one or more contacts<\/strong> you want to delete. You can check the boxes next to their names.<\/li>
    3. Click the Down arrow<\/strong> icon in the top left corner (it displays a menu when clicked).<\/li>
    4. Select Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>
    5. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click Delete<\/strong> again to confirm.<\/li><\/ol>

      Important Note:<\/strong> Deleted contacts are moved to the Trash folder and remain there for 30 days. After 30 days, they are permanently deleted.<\/p>

      On Android:<\/strong><\/p>

      Edit a Contact:<\/strong><\/p>

      1. Open the Gmail app<\/strong> on your Android phone or tablet.<\/li>
      2. Tap the menu icon<\/strong> (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.<\/li>
      3. Select Contacts<\/strong> from the menu options.<\/li>
      4. Search or browse<\/strong> to find the contact you want to edit.<\/li>
      5. Once you’ve found the contact, tap on their name to open their details.<\/li>
      6. Tap the Edit<\/strong> button (usually a pencil icon).<\/li>
      7. Edit the contact information as needed.<\/li>
      8. Tap Save<\/strong> when finished.<\/li><\/ol>

        Delete a Contact:<\/strong><\/p>

        1. Open the Gmail app<\/strong> on your Android phone or tablet.<\/li>
        2. Tap the menu icon<\/strong> (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.<\/li>
        3. Select Contacts<\/strong> from the menu options.<\/li>
        4. Search or browse<\/strong> to find the contact you want to delete.<\/li>
        5. Tap and hold<\/strong> on the contact’s name to select it.<\/li>
        6. A menu bar will appear at the top. Tap the Trash can<\/strong> icon.<\/li>
        7. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Tap Delete<\/strong> to confirm.<\/li><\/ol>

          Similar to the desktop version, deleted contacts on Android are moved to the Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion.<\/strong><\/p>
