Instead, it will offer a base amount of storage for a fixed fee and a charge for additional storage. An initiative is underway to support the university&#8217;s transformation to a new Google service.&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31c9d9b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"31c9d9b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-71c6f78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"71c6f78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"markdown markdown-main-panel ui-v2-enabled\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><div class=\"markdown markdown-main-panel ui-v2-enabled\" dir=\"ltr\"><p data-sourcepos=\"1:1-1:85\">There are two main ways to control who gets saved and suggested as contacts in Gmail:<\/p><p data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:32\"><strong>1. Automatic Contact Saving:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"5:1-6:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"5:1-6:0\"><strong>Turn it off:<\/strong> This is the most effective way to prevent Gmail from automatically saving email addresses as contacts.<\/li><\/ul><p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:15\"><strong>On Desktop:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"9:1-14:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:58\">Go to <strong>Settings<\/strong> (gear icon in the top right corner).<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-10:30\">Click <strong>See all settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:81\">In the <strong>General<\/strong> tab, scroll down to <strong>&#8220;Create contacts for Autocomplete&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:41\">Choose <strong>&#8220;I&#8217;ll add contacts myself&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-14:0\">Click <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:15\"><strong>On Android:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"17:1-23:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"17:1-17:26\">Open the <strong>Gmail app<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"18:1-18:73\">Tap the <strong>menu icon<\/strong> (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"19:1-19:23\">Select <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"20:1-20:79\">Choose the email account you want to modify (if you have multiple accounts).<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"21:1-21:25\">Tap on <strong>&#8220;Contacts&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"22:1-23:0\">Toggle <strong>off<\/strong> the switch for <strong>&#8220;Save contact info from interactions&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"24:1-24:43\"><strong>2. Remove Existing Contact Suggestions:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"26:1-27:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"26:1-27:0\">You can remove individual email addresses suggested as contacts from the compose window.<\/li><\/ul><p data-sourcepos=\"28:1-28:15\"><strong>On Desktop:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"30:1-33:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"30:1-30:31\">Start composing a new email.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"31:1-31:121\">When you begin typing an email address in the &#8220;To&#8221; field, Gmail might suggest contacts based on previous interactions.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"32:1-33:0\">Click the <strong>&#8220;X&#8221;<\/strong> next to the suggested contact you want to remove.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"34:1-34:15\"><strong>On Android:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"36:1-39:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"36:1-36:31\">Start composing a new email.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"37:1-37:61\">As you type in the &#8220;To&#8221; field, tap on a suggested contact.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"38:1-39:0\">In the contact details pop-up, tap <strong>&#8220;Remove suggestion&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p data-sourcepos=\"40:1-40:20\"><strong>Additional Tips:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"42:1-45:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"42:1-42:191\">You can also manage your existing contacts directly in Google Contacts (<a class=\"traceable-link\" href=\"https:\/\/contacts.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/contacts.google.com\/<\/a>).
