Password support
Most networked IT services, including portal logins and email, use the default username and password. When you change your password for one of these services, your password will automatically change for all the others.
You are responsible for protecting your password. Don’t let other people use it, no matter how good a reason they give you.
Self Service Password Reset
All staff and students register for Self Service Password Reset (SSPR). You register with a personal email address and/or mobile number.
Once registered you can manage your password from anywhere.

Keep your password secure
You should never be asked for your password by any member of staff at IT Directorate – if anyone asks you to tell them it, refuse. If IT Service staff need to be able to use a service “as you” to help investigate a problem, they will ask you to sign into the service on their behalf.
We will never send you an email asking you to click on a link and log in on that page. You will always be directed to the relevant IT Directorate webpage and asked follow links from there.
