Instructors access to Aamusted Lms

To grant access to Aamusted LMS for co-instructors, colleagues, or assistants assisting with your course, follow these steps:

Co-instructor Needs Access to Aamusted:

– If you and your colleague share responsibilities for the course, including instruction and grading, they should be designated as Primary Instructors (PI) in the relevant system.
– Confirm with the Academic Scheduling Representative in your department that your co-instructor is listed as a Primary Instructor.
– Primary Instructors in the system are automatically granted the role of Teacher in Aamusted, providing them with unrestricted access to course design, teaching, and grading tools.
– Please note that processing instructor listings may take up to three (3) business days or longer.

Other Instructional Staff in Your Class Need Access to Aamusted:

– Some courses may require librarians or other faculty members to access Aamusted. For these individuals, ensure they are designated as Section Assistants.
– Section Assistants may handle tasks such as coordinating student projects, grading assignments, or holding office hours without conducting teaching sessions.
– Once confirmed with the Academic Scheduling Representative, Section Assistants will automatically receive the role of Teacher in your Aamusted Course, granting them unlimited access to course tools.
– The process of designating Section Assistants may take three (3) business days or longer.

Non-instructional Assistants Need Designer Access to Aamusted:

– If you need to grant access to colleagues, staff, or student assistants who do not need to teach or grade but require Course Designer access to an Aamusted course, follow these steps.
– Course Designers can add resources, activities, and blocks but cannot interact with students or access the gradebook.
– Fill out the Course Designer Access to Aamusted request form to request access for these individuals.
– Note that granting Course Designer access is a manual process and may take up to three (3) business days.
– For enrolled Teaching Assistants requiring Course Designer access, no form is necessary. Follow instructions provided in the “Access to Aamusted for Teaching Assistants” documentation
